"GOTONG ROYONG" or working together in a group or helping each other is a traditional practise. It has been carried out since years especially in the rural areas to overcome problems, to enhance social interactions and economical.

On the 14th of July 2009, teachers and a group of student of SMK Pak Badol together with the local people participated in the activity. The above photos showing a group of boy burning garbage in a clearing the beach activity and girls are ready to give their helping hands. The girls were assigned to clean Masjid Kubang Golok, Bachok.
The above date needs to be remembered. It was a state holiday announced by YAB Dato' Tuan Guru Menteri Besar Kelantan to mark a by election day for the Manek Urai state assembly seat.

The below showing teachers and myself( wearing stripe shirt) after clearing the Bachok Graveyard and further below showing students in a similar activity.

PULUT DURIAN is a special delicacy to be served after the gotong royong activity. Actually it is a mixture of cooked glutinous rice, coconut milk, palm or white sugar and durian pulp. All the participants enjoyed it. The pulut durian to be served seasonally, only during the durian season, the king of fruits is abundant, much cheaper or perhaps no need to empty our purse to obtain it. The photo showing its ingredients.
